Clayton Ayling BSc (Hons) MRICS MPTS
Clayton Ayling founded Ayling Associates Ltd in 2020 and leads its chartered building surveying work. He has more than 25 years of experience across engineering, construction, and surveying, with most instructions at the commercial end of the market.
He qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in November 2013 and is a member of the Pyramus & Thisbe Society, the body for party wall practitioners. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from the University of Brighton, on the course accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. His work covers schedules of dilapidations, party wall awards, schedules of condition, defect investigation, and recurring commercial building surveys.
Reports are written to be defensible at negotiation or before a tribunal, and to read clearly for a board or asset manager who is not a surveyor. Day-to-day delivery draws on a wider network of chartered colleagues and on reporting software built within the firm.
